Mühlendamm

This street, along with Spandauer Straße, Rathausstraße and the River Spree, forms one of the borders to Nikolaiviertel, the oldest part of Berlin. This was the founding neighbourhood of the city, and this pedestrian district is still one of the fascinating sites of the city not to be missed. This oasis of calm is perfect for a walk, shopping or a coffee at one of the numerous cafes in the area. Walk the streets that Goethe once strolled and enjoy this small town within the city! The Nikolaikirche, or Nikolai Church, is the oldest in the German capital and is located nearby, and was built in the 1200s. Head down to the Mitte borough for a visit!
