Haus-der-Kulturen
The Haus der Kulturen, or House of World Cultures, is an art institution where exhibitions, theatre, dance performances, concerts and films are shown. It is also a forum for non-European art and culture. At the time of writing there was a Festival of Electronic Music celebrating the history of electronic music in the 80's with Krautrock until the modern music of today. The Haus receives funding from the German government. It is located in the Tiergarten area, in a building designed by Hugh Stubbins and is also known as the Pregnant Oyster.
