Treptower Park is the largest park in Berlin, and this lodging has an enviable location just a few steps from there. ...more details > Bordering the park is the River Spree, which is the perfect setting for an evening stroll or even a boat ride. Buses pass just 100m in front of the Pension, and you can visit exciting sites of the city such as the Reichstag, Alexanderplatz, its famous museums on Museum Island, shop in Mitte or go out on the town in Prenzlauer Berg or nearby Friedrichshain or Kreuzberg. Though it is not far from all the Berlin has to offer in terms of shopping, nightlife, great bars and restaurants, this hotel nonetheless is on a quiet street and will afford guests a good night of rest. There are double and triple rooms. The quiet rooms have a private bathroom, telephone, hair dryer and cable TV. The rooms are simply decorated, but comfortable. Pension am Park, Treptow had a very large room but tiny pictures above the bed and none on the rest of the walls. A little baren and unimaginative. Otherwise, fine. Same lack of pictures and some colour at Hotel Fortuna though for a perfectly good low cost room it's a minor point. Friendly and helpful at both, though at Pension English is very basic. |
